Operations | Quality Assurance Manager

Schreiner Group LP has a full-time regular position for a Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Coaches, mentors, and leads all employees in the Quality Assurance Manager’s areas of responsibility to achieve goals and objectives related to quality control, quality assurance, customer demands, and customer specifications.
  • Drives quality certifications and takes the lead on all audits (ie: ISO). Renews and maintains all documentation regarding certifications and other company licenses concerning quality control and assurance.
  • Investigates all complaints, documents and makes recommendation for corrective actions, and ensures that proper follow up is taken. Shares all information with appropriate managers and personnel.
  • Creates and implements KPI’s for quality assurance and quality control.
  • Creates, implements, and ensures compliance with all company controlled documents as it relates to quality assurance and quality control (SOPs, Guidelines, Process Descriptions, and Forms and Checklists).
  • Ensures all employees work according to the company’s cGMP and ISO standards.
  • Creates and maintains performance indicators, quality benchmarks, and measures performance on the quality assurance department (ie: deviations and non-conformations).
  • Creates all QA testing, performance indicators, and benchmarks for all projects.
  • Works with the Operation Manager to help to lead continuous improvement activities and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant processes. Implements new procedures and policies in order to improve quality.

 

Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ experience with quality engineering and management preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of cGMP/QSR, ISO:9001, ISO:14001, ISO:45001, IATF 16949 and FDA device/drug/biologics regulations.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S and other productivity and quality improvement methods.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of computer knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, manuals and manufacturing documents including financial data as it relates to investments and personnel.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or other related field.

Operations | Printing Inspection Operators

Your tasks:

In this role you will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining production equipment used in the quality inspection and finishing of printed labels. Our facility operates on a 2 -shift, 10-hour schedule with Fridays mandatory overtime.
 

Your Qualification:

Applicants must have a high school diploma (or GED) and at least 6 months experience in operating manufacturing equipment. The applicant must be competent in MS Office and other computer programs and be able to communicate well- both verbally and in writing. The operator position requires the employee to stand, reach with arms, kneel and lift 50lbs.
 

Candidates must be able to:

  • Follow strict test instructions, SOP's and process descriptions
  • Ability to accurately complete all internal and customer documents and records.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A proven record of good attendance and timeliness
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, multi-cultured facility.
  • Mechanical ability to maintain machine, troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, ISO is helpful but not mandatory.

Operations | Press Operator - Flexo/Screen Printing

Your tasks:

The Press Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a press while adhering to customer specification, quality requirements, company standards, guideline and safety standards. This position is responsible for the overall completion of printing job via the press.

  • Inspection of printed material to ensure the correctness in all areas of color, registration, stock and all other customer specifications.
  • Adjusting and maintaining registration, color, perforations, and other customer specific printing specifications.
  • Observes the press operations to detect any machine or equipment malfunctions and moves to correct the issues.
  • Makes adjustment to all press machine parts and equipment: feeders, grippers, guides, feed wheels, cameras and other machine parts using proper equipment.
  • Carries out the final inspection to ensure the material, ink, plates or screens, cylinders/rollers, tension, and all other necessary customer specifications are correct prior to the start of the running the job.
  • Review and Interpret job specifications and work order instructions, delegates or carries out directions as needed.
  • Ensures all job related data (time and material) are entered into the ERP system.
  • Ensure complete and proper lie clearance has been conducted.
  • Maintain the daily activity production log and all other required documentation for the press and work orders.

 

Your Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Reading, analyzing and interpreting technical procedures, and manufacturing documents including the system of Graphic specification/Graphic identical/articles.
  • Experience with inks and materials.
  • Experience with handling and proper caring of die cutting tools.
  • Experience with machine set-up
  • Knowledge of cGMP, ISO and Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience with UV and water based inks preferred.
  • Experience working with vision system preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality procedures in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Work activity requires repetitive bending, reaching walking, stooping and crouching, lifting and climbing.

Operations | Warehouse Operator

Schreiner Group LP has a full-time regular position for a Warehouse Operator. The Warehouse Operator will be part of the Warehouse and Shipping Team.

Hours: Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm
 

Responsibilities:

  • The Warehouse Operator is responsible for performing the clerical and physical tasks needed to ensure the accuracy of all orders shipped and received by the company.
  • This position will coordinate and verify all records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
  • Performs monthly inventory cycle counts and aids in the completion of the physical inventory counts.
  • Tracks shipments and obtains proof of deliveries. Traces any missing or lost shipments. Communicates any issues with customer shipments to the Production Planner and Operation Manger.
  • Conducts a daily inspection of all equipment used for shipping and receiving of material and products to ensure employee safety and proper working condition of equipment.  Reports any damaged or maintenance issues to the Operations Manager and Maintenance Manager.
     

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or higher educational degree.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing setting.
  • Exposure to ERP system is required.
  • Experience with forklift preferred.
  • Experience using FedEx, UPS, and other common carriers' software are required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Outlook).
  • Ability to lift, lower.
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Work activity requires repetitive bending, reaching, walking, stooping, and crouching, lifting, and climbing.

Operations | Plate making & Ink Technician

Schreiner Group LP has a full-time regular position for a Plate making &  Ink Technician. The Plate making & Ink Technician will be an active and integral part of the Production team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and inspecting printing plates and printing screens for production (Flexo plates, flat screens and Rotary screens)
  • Usage of computerized system to load output files into Computer-to-Plate and Computer-to-Screen equipment
  • Retrieving plates, screens and die cutting tools from Archive Storage
  • Mixing/ toning of spot colors and varnishes; mixing of inks for color match
  • Maintains ink recipes in the ERP system as well as preparing color proofs
  • Inventory control of Inks/varnishes in storage through ERP system
  • Assembly of job components (Plates, die cutting tools, inks, documentation) to prepare job for press
  • Perform and assist in the preventive maintenance needed for all plate making equipment (Plate Exposure systems, Washout system, etc.)
  • Control waste by controlling ongoing quality checks during production of films and plates
  • Aid in all trouble shooting for the press which relate to printing plates/ screens, inks or color mismatch

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree or higher educational degree
  • 1-5 years' experience within the field of print production
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, manuals and manufacturing documents
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Intermediate level of compute knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suites
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Standing or sitting for long periods time
